From V2 to V3

Technical improvements to the Assistant...

Interface changed from Printer port to USB port.
Complete re-design of electronics interface technology.
USB Versions 1.1 & 2.0 are supported.
USB drivers are supplied for x86 based OS, x64 are in progress.

No external power supply for the dongle or rotary encoder is required.
As all power is drawn from  the USB port.

Tested Operating Systems include Windows 98, XP, 2000 and Vista

Although unsupported, the Assistant V3 will also operate within a VMware 6.5 Windows client, on a Windows or Linux 'Host' system.

The overall appearance has been re-written for optimum usability on the  new "mini" notebooks.
On screen sizes greater than these, the user benefits from the enhanced graphing area's (when in full screen mode).

The graphing functions have been enhanced, with added zoom  options.

Obsolete functions and redundant code have been removed.

Most configurations are persistent.

The user options are retained when the program exits.

The USB V3 will support upgrading from the earlier Assistant models without  requiring user to purchase a full kit.

The Assistant Simply Explained....

The CB Assistant Safe Manipulation Aid is a software and hardware tool which interfaces a Mechanical Combination Safe lock via a high resolution rotary encoder to a PC.

The Assistant then aids the manipulator by tracking the wheel positions through software modelling and giving the user the ability to plot manipulation graphs of the contact points, which then aid in the discovery of the wheel combination code.

The Assistant can be used to great effect by both experienced and inexperienced  locksmiths.
However, the user is expected to already have the basic skills and knowledge required. The Assistant will then help to optimise and simplify the process by efficient use of the in built graphing technology.
