The Locksmiths' Exhibition held weekend 5/6th March was a resounding success, says Mick Friend, show organiser and editor of Locks and Security Monthly.

It is a very humbling experience to be given an award by your peers, most unexpected, I wish I had been well enough to respond properly at the time having been suffering from food poisoning. This accolade will be treasured.

 

Locksmith of the Year 2010 (The Belcher Award)

Quote “When we had the idea for this award we had to think of a name for it. Who in our opinion was a model we could use? Who has benefited hundreds of locksmiths by improving their skills? One name kept springing to mind - Chris Belcher. His cheery manner, his willingness to help anyone, his design and engineering skills in producing quality tools and his ethics in wanting to know who they were being sold to are well known. Both he and his wife Suzzie are at the forefront of helping fellow locksmiths and rightfully deserve due recognition.”
